The Lisboacard is highly recommended. We bought it for 3 days and it was really worth it. You don't have to queue when you visit the Castello San Jorge. The left row is for Lisboacard holders and it's quicker. Use of the streetcar, streetcar and public buses are included. Entrance to numerous museums is also included. Please visit the Museum de Azulejos with its beautiful church. You can order the card online and pick it up at the Tourist Office (at the airport or in the city)

Very good for metro bus streetcar transport! Easy to use but many attractions are still paying like botanical garden, monastery of saint Antoine... and you have to be able to use it, because some of the best attractions, such as the Belém tower, are inaccessible to the rest of the world, which is a pity, or the Jeronimos monastery, which needs a queue cutter.

An enjoyable day in the company of Paulo SILVA who is a very professional guide and ensures that everyone gets the most out of the tour. I gave 4 stars because the description of the visit to the castle gardens is ambiguous. In fact, the most beautiful gardens don't belong to Pena Palace, but to other castles not included in the tour.

The highlight of my visit was being able to find parking at the entrance to the garden after almost being scammed by the Tuk Tuk guys at the bottom of the hill. Luckily a local waived his finger to warn me not to park where guy was telling me to go. Garden was nice to hike up though on the sunny day. We did notice Giant Hogweed growing near path which is dangerous to touch though. The palace was amazing and the views are the best we have seen.

The tour was good. The palace is pretty amazing. The one thing that was a little bothersome was the fact that on the tkt it says that your time a lot is your time slot and will not be tolerated if missed, well it was , many ppl were arriving after their scheduled time. One thing that would be nice to be included is the length it can take to get from train station to the palace, the traffic was very congested and took longer than we thought it would. We were thankful we gave ourselves lots of time to get there

The castles are beautiful. They are worth visiting, but I do not recommend doing both visits on the same day. The distances between one and the other involve more than an hour's drive. The coaches run every 20 minutes. I wanted to stay longer at Quinta da Regaleira, and it was getting late to get into Quinta da Pena. I had to take a Bolt to get there on time. Calculate well the distances and how you are going to be able to travel.

The experience was outstanding regarding the quinta da Regaleira, beautiful the garden part all to discover with the caves as icing on the cake is beautiful fairy tale atmosphere. On the other hand, less beautiful was the visit of the Pena Palace, the palace very nice to photograph in the outside part but how the visit inside is organized I did not like it: it is a perennial and endless line to see two rooms and you do not see them well because you have to keep walking as there are so many people.

Lisbon City Card: Explore Lisbon with ease

Lisbon’s sun-drenched streets, historic tram rides, and breathtaking viewpoints make it a must-visit destination. The Lisbon Card is your all-in-one pass to explore the city effortlessly, offering free entry to top museums and attractions, unlimited public transport (including trams, buses, and metro), and exclusive discounts on tours and shops. Whether you're marveling at Belém’s monuments, riding the iconic Tram 28, or soaking in panoramic views from São Jorge Castle, this card saves you time and money while letting you experience Lisbon at your own pace.

Lisbon City Cards in a nutshell

Variety of cards

The Lisbon Card is designed to make your Lisbon exploration seamless and cost-effective. Available in 24-hour, 48-hour, and 72-hour variants, this all-inclusive pass grants you free entry to 39+ top attractions, unlimited access to public transport, and exclusive discounts on tours, shops, and restaurants.

Type of Lisbon Cards

Unlike some destinations with multiple pass options, Lisbon keeps it simple with one primary tourist pass – the Lisbon Card, which includes:

  • Free admission to major attractions (Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Lisbon Cathedral, and more).
  • Unlimited rides on buses, trams, metro, funiculars, and trains.
  • Discounts on tours, river cruises, and dining.

Is the Lisbon Card ideal for you?

The Lisbon Card is great for travelers who want to explore Lisbon’s top attractions while using public transport frequently. If you plan to visit multiple museums (like Jerónimos Monastery or Belém Tower), ride trams and buses often, or take day trips to Sintra/Cascais, the card saves you time and money. It’s perfect for first-time visitors, culture lovers, and those who prefer hassle-free sightseeing.

How to use your city card

After buying the Lisbon Card online, pick up your physical card at an official collection point using your voucher and ID. Activate it by writing your name, date, and time on the card. The validity period starts from your first use on public transport or at an attraction.

Why buy the Lisbon City Card?

Skip the lines & maximize your time

The Lisbon Card grants you priority access to Lisbon's busiest attractions like Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower. No more wasting precious vacation time in ticket queues - walk right in and start exploring immediately.

Stress-free transportation across the city

Forget about figuring out fares or buying individual tickets. Your card covers unlimited rides on trams, buses, metro, and even trains to Sintra/Cascais, making it effortless to zip between attractions

Substantial savings on must-see attractions

After just 2-3 major attractions, the card pays for itself. But the real value comes from visiting additional museums and landmarks you might otherwise skip due to entrance fees.

Customizable to your travel style

Whether you're a fast-paced sightseer or prefer leisurely exploration, choose from 24/48/72-hour validity. The card adapts to your schedule, not the other way around.

Compare costs: savings with Lisbon City Cards

Day-Based Card

See Lisbon’s top 5 attractions in one day without burning a hole in your wallet!

Without the Lisbon City Card:

Torre de Belém: £15

Mosteiro dos Jerónimos: £18

Monumento a los Descubrimientos: £5

Palácio Nacional da Ajuda: £15

Day ticket public transport: £7

Total cost without the Lisbon Card:  £60

Total cost with the Lisbon Card: £31
With a 24-hour pass, you can see five attractions and save almost 50% (£29), that’s nearly half the total cost of buying tickets separately! You can also mix and match from 50+ attractions.
